Winners!
Visual Arts Prize
The winners of this year's prestigious Visual Arts Prize were announced! Standards were very high this year, but winners had to be chosen, and in the end the judges selected two winners - from the 2D category, Anna Kyriacou won with her piece; "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate", from the Show Below exhibition at the Brighton Media Centre.

Runner up was Richard Beacham with his piece "Happy Hour" from the Show Below exhibition at the Brighton Media Centre.
The winners each recieved £1000, with the runner up recieving £500. Jess Huffman from the Fringe, co-ordinator of the Visual Arts Prize, said "Brighton & Hove Arts Trust has funded the VAP for the last 5 years – this year being the last. We hope to find further funding to enable us to continue this great prize in future Fringe festivals.
It works to help artists promote both their own work and the exhibition they are a part of in the festival. With our judges this year having been artists, arts editors, journalists, gallery curators and last year’s first prize winners it’s a great opportunity for recognition and self promotion."
