Once upon a midnight dreary, mingle with master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, in an evening of absinthe-laced verse and horrific tales. John Matthews is Poe in this intense and intimate monologue in which Poe recounts the agonies and passions of his life and dramatises some of his most famous work including "The Raven" and "The Tell-Tale Heart".
